I’ve been noticing advertising long before I knew what to call it. Not from television. From a buddhi ke baal wale chacha in my gully in Kolhapur, calling out in a way that made every kid turn around. That stayed with me. The idea that attention can be earned before anything is sold.
I grew up noticing hoardings before TV, jingles before scripts. Somewhere between Fevicol ads and Manoranjan ka baap jaise iconic ads, I realised this wasn’t just entertainment. It was a connection.
I was supposed to be an engineer. Instead, I wrote three scripts on the last day of a college competition, won ₹35,000, and figured this might be worth taking seriously.
It’s been almost 9 years since I started working on the favourable side of briefs with a plate of bhajiyas next to me.
Over these years, I’ve written, directed, shaped campaigns, and led teams across brands, formats, and expectations.
I care about ads as much as that kid in me who would run towards the buddhi ke baal wala chacha without thinking twice.
